I am Wayne Ratliff,  former Technical Sales Consultant, AT&T Southeast Wholesale Sales, Birmingham, Alabama. I have 25 years experience in Account Team Sales, Product Management and Project Management. My duties included problem solving, resource allocation, billing disputes and resolutions, inventory management, pre and post sales support, sales and installation expense reduction, competitive analysis, sales training, customer relationship and retention management, infrastructure designing, pricing and presentation of network transport systems such as SONET, LightGate, Hi Cap, Ethernet, Wave Length, DWDM, ATM and Frame Relay. I have experience utilizing the following data bases; BOCABS, BOCRIS, TIRKS, ORION, BRIO/ACAD, MOBLI, Quote Expert and Lattis Pro. I am proficient in EXCEL, Word and Power Point

  

During my career with BellSouth/AT&T I have carried the titles of Network Sales Engineer and Technical Sales Consultant. Other descriptions of my titles include telecommunications specialist, network consultant, customer relationship manager, transport infrastructure design, strategic network planning, network billing dispute and resolution, network ordering specialist.

 

My responsibilities includeded network technical and architectural infrastructure design, price quotes and customer presentations, customer support and relationship management, financial justification of the products/services presented and implemented, project management, 1st bill review and continued post sales customer service on all installed products and services. I reviewed all system generated online orders issued by my customers for errors that would result in installation delays and lost revenue opportunity. Once a quarter I analyzed  my customers installed services for savings opportunities by grooming and updating their network. The savings achieved resulted in a lower monthly recurring cost per unit while placing any month to month billed services under multi-year contracts, generating additional revenue to AT&T/BellSouth and ensuring their services remained on our facilities.

 

My customers have been large facility based CLECs, IXCs (collocation and POP sites) and Unbundled Network Element based CLECs. I know how to read and price from the FCC Tariffs and State Tariffs.
